Review: Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Spandex

Out of the entire Urban Decay Metal Glitter Eyeliner collection, the Spandex shade stood out the most to me. The glitters did not seem to be a solid color like the rest of them. It appeared to be a dark blue/navy color with iridescent greens, blues and gold glitters. It amazed me because the other colors did not seem to “glitter” the same way.
After using it quite a few times, I realized that, although it is a cool color, it is probably not as versatile as the other colors. Whenever I used it, I had to layer this on top of my black eyeliner or heavily layer it to use on its own. This is because the gel portion of this product is dark blue whereas the other colors have a clear gel portion. When I tried using this color on my inner corners, it looked messy whereas the other colors were fine. Nonetheless, it is still very unique and not something I normally see.

PROS
J Unique color
J Glitter stays for long periods
J Easy application
J Nice packaging
CONS
L Not as versatile compared to the other colors of this collection
L Pricey
OVERALL
It is a great glitter eyeliner. It is a 4/5J.
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
Yes. I would love to try the lilac shade as well as the iridescent white oneJ.

Review: M.A.C. Technakhol Liner in Jade Way & Archival

Based on my past experiences, I’ve had DECENT experiences with M.A.C. eyeliners (including liquid, pen, pencil etc.). I was neither impressed nor was I disappointed with them. When I decided to try these out, I had pretty much the exact same experience with all the other M.A.C. eyeliners I had.
These eyeliners can be easily applied on to my eyelids. They run smoothly without creating rough edges. Also, I like the packaging of these liners because all I need to do is twist when the liner dulls. I really dislike sharpening liners because I tend to cut away a lot of product.
The colors are bright and beautiful upon initial application. Unfortunately, these liners are not waterproof or smudgeproof. They do not claim to be, however, even the smallest yawn or tearing can lower the intensity of the color. When I line my upper lash line, I noticed that it rubs off by the end of the day and becomes less opaque. When I line my lower lash line, it smudges and looks a bit messy by the afternoon.

PROS
J Lines smoothly
J Beautiful colors
J Does not require sharpener when pencil becomes dull
CONS
L Not waterproof
L Smudges by the end of the day
L Rubs off easily
OVERALL
They are not too terrible, but they are definitely not one of my favourite liners. They are a 2.75/5L
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
No.

Review: Kiss Lashes in KPE08

I purchased these lashes to create a fuller dramatic look. When I finally got around to using it, I realized that it wasn’t as full as I wanted. I think it is because I am so used to using dark and “heavy” lashes from Japan. Unfortunately it causes me to think my old drugstore lashes are too faint and light.
Since I am so used to using the “intense” Japanese lashes, I tend to pair them with heavier lined eyes. Unfortunately I did not realize it didn’t work with my lighter drugstore lashes. The lashes barely showed when I used them.
I do love these lashes, however I don’t think they work with my current style. I do like the fact that they are light and so my DUO lash glue would work fine with them. I also like that fact that they are definitely less expensive compared to my Japanese lashes. They can be re-worn for approximately 3-4 times, whereas the higher quality lashes can be worn up to 10 times.

PROS
J Inexpensive
J Lightweight
J Easy to use
CONS
L Less dramatic compared to my Japanese lashes
L Cannot be re-used more than 4 times
OVERALL
These are great lashes when paired with thin lined eyes! They are a 3.5/5J
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?

Review: M.A.C. Shadestick in Beige-ing

I really like the idea of the shadestick because it makes applying eyeshadow easier. I also like how the color appears more pigmented and saturated in comparison to regular powder eyeshadows. I like this color a lot because it is a very pretty neutral that is slightly more “standing out”. It kind of reminds me of the taupe shade in my L’oreal H.I.P. duo eyeshadow.
The only down side to this product is that it is not as easy to blend as would an eyeshadow. Also, at one point, the entire shadow stick came out of its packaging. It was strange, but I was able to simply place it back in and it worked fine after that.

PROS
J Easy to use
J Pigmented
CONS
L A little difficult to blend
L Product came out of its packaging
OVERALL
I really love this eyeshadow and color. It is a 4/5J.
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I would repurchase this shadow as well as other colors as well!
