Review: Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow in Gaze

I actually had this eyeshadow for quite some time now, but I never thought it was too special. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out from the other makeup products I had. It wasn’t until I saw Michelle Phan use it in a video that I started using it more often. I was really glad I got this shade because it is a great neutral shade that can be used as a part of my daily routine. Just like what Michelle did, I like to double it as a highlighter as well.
The texture of this eyeshadow is silky, but at the same time powdery. When applied, it has a matte but shimmery effect. Its sounds strange, but it is actually not too bad. In addition, I really love the packaging as well. It is beautiful. However, I am not a fan of single eyeshadows because I find it unnecessary to have packaging that takes up more room than the product itself.

PROS
J Nice neutral color
J Pretty packaging
J Workable texture
CONS
L Packaging takes up more room that the actual eyeshadow in it
L A bit chalky
OVERALL
It is a great eyeshadow. Its pros outweigh the consJ It is a 3.5/5.
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I would like to try some more colors!

Review: M.A.C. Brow Shader in Ivoire/Walnut

I am actually not the type that is too picky when it comes to brow coloring. For a very long time, I simply used a matte eyeshadow and filled in my eyebrows with it using an angled liner brush. When I had darker eyebrows, my mom gave this to me and I liked it at the time. It matched and I was able to use the highlighting shade for my brow bone. There was really nothing wrong with it.
One thing I want to point out is that I really love the packaging. It is like the usual sleek M.A.C. style with the black packaging. I really like how the brow shader and highlighter slides out, it is very unique that way.

PROS
J Lasts all day
J Great packaging
J Great for natural Asian brows
CONS
L Highlight shade is not really necessary
OVERALL
It is a great product with great packaging! This is a 4/5J
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I would like to purchase this in a lighter shade because my current eyebrows have been lightened to match my colored hair.

Review: L’oreal H.I.P Duo in 328 Riotous and Studio Secrets Professional in 510 Electrified

I’ve heard from many people that the duo in 510 Electrified was amazing and so I really wanted to try it out myself. It was difficult to get as it is pretty much unavailable in Canada and so someone went to the states and bought it for me! I was so happy and thankful! I also wanted to try another shadow and so I chose the 318 Riotous shades.
I was very impressed with the pigmentation! I especially love the 510 Electrified duo because it gives a really nice smokey effect to the eyes and it is very appropriate for the colder seasons. The duo in 328 Riotous is also nice, but more of a fun shade that cannot be used too often.
-Left to Right: 510 Electrified and 328 Riotous
*I depoted the two duos to place them into a blank palette

PROS
J Great pigmentation
J Pretty colors
J Inexpensive as a drugstore brand
CONS
J The 510 Electrified shade is hard to get a hold of in Canada
OVERALL
I think these are great quality shadows for a low price! I give these a 4/5J.
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I would definitely try out more colors!

Review: L’Oreal Paris Color Infaillible in 001 Time Resist White

I’ve never really had a cream shadow before and so I was excited and at the same time uneasy about trying this one. The reason as to why I usually don’t get cream eyeshadows is because they tend to crease and smudge. Because of that, I decided to get a white shade to try out first because if all else fails, it’s a neutral shade that could be easily used.
After using this once, I must say it has great pigmentation. I tried using this as an all-over shadow, as a base and to highlight (brow bone, inner corners etc). This shadow was long lasting, pretty and worked really well! I am very impressed with this shadow. In addition, I really love the packaging! It looks very high-end and sleek!

PROS
J Great packaging
J Long lasting
J Pigmented
J Easy application
CONS
L The color selection only contains metallic shades
OVERALL
I really love it, however I wish they had other shades that weren’t metallic. I give this a 4/5J
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I would really like to try some of the darker shades!

Review: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 015 Tutti Frutti, 065 Creamsicle, 060 Gumdrop and 080 Strawberry Shortcake

I’ve wanted these for a while now and I saw quite a few reviews on it. I noticed that everybody loved them and purchased them by the handful! I actually went to approximately five stores until I was able to find a place that wasn’t sold out or almost sold out. I am happy with what I was able to find, but I am still on the hunt for the shade Peach ParfaitL.

Overall I love the feeling of these lipsticks. They are a little lighter feeling than M.A.C. lipsticks, but don’t last as long. I am fine with that because I usually remove/reapply regardless of the lasting time. Also, I like how this is a sheer color that can be buildable. Some days I like to go lighter and some days I like to have a brighter color. This lipstick will allow you to do that. In addition, I really like the packaging. It is very pretty and colourful! Here is a little summary of each of the colors.

015 Tutti Frutti- A beautiful juicy orange color that would be great for the summer time. I was actually looking for a perfect orange color during the past summer!

J

065 Creamsicle- A glossy nude color that can be worn every day!

060 Gumdrop- My favourite out of the four I purchased. I was obsessed with getting a sheer purple/lilac color for the past year and I was originally trying to find the Etude House lipstick that was a nice lavender shade. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it at all and I am so happy that I found the Revlon one!

080 Strawberry Shortcake- A very popular color that is a pretty pink! This can be used during the day, but I personally prefer to use it in the evening

PROS
J BEAUTIFUL selection of colors!
J Lightweight on the lips
J Pretty packaging
J Inexpensive
CONS
L Not long wearing
OVERALL
I love these!!! They are a 5/5!
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I would definitely purchase more and repurchase! Hopefully I can get my hands on the Peach Parfait shade soon!

Review: Maybelline Baby Lips in 005 Quenched and 025 Pink Punch

I’ve heard that many people LOVE these tinted lip balms and so I wanted to try them out myselfJ I decided to get these two shades in particular because I actually do not use lipsticks on a regular basis.  I felt that I could use Quenched every day and Pink Punch for special days!
After trying out both of these lip balms, I absolutely love them! I really love how they make the lines on my lips less visible and smoothes it out. I also love the fact that there is an SPF of 20 because most people tend to neglect protecting their lips from the sun. I’ve got to say that I do like the shade Quenched more because it works like a REALLY GOOD lip balm. I really thought I would like Pink Punch more because I thought the color would be lighter, like my matte Revlon lipstick in Sky Pink. It actually turned out to be a punchy pink color that would be appropriate for the summertime (I should have known because the name was PINK PUNCH -.-“). I am not saying that I don’t like it, I really do, but I was hoping I would be able to use it this seasonL.

*Note: I did not swatch Quenched as it is a transparent color

PROS
J Smoothes out lines on the lips
J Has SPF 20
J Very moisturising
J Cute packaging
CONS
L The shade in Pink Punch will have to wait until Summer time to be used
OVERALL
I really love theseJ They are a 5/5J.
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I would like the also try the “nude” shade that they have as well.

Review: China Glaze Nail Lacquer in 625 For Audrey

I saw this color on one of my friends and thought it looked soooo pretty! I was also told that this was the “Tiffany&Co” look-alike color and thought to myself that I had to try it!J When I applied it on to my own nails, I thought it looked really nice as wellJ I really liked this shade of blue and I think it is perfect for both Summer and Winter. The quality of this nail color is also really great, it does not chip as fast as other nail colors.
The only problem that I’ve noticed with this is that the product in the bottle tends to dry and clump up a bit after initial use. However, after shaking the bottle a bit, the product is still usable and the color is still just as pretty!

-Hehe I really liked how it looked with my phone

PROS
J Beautiful color
J Long lasting, does not chip
CONS
L Clumps up in bottle a bit
OVERALL
It is a great product during application. It is a 4/5J.
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I would definitely purchase other colors!

Review: Nanoblur

I read about this product in the newspaper and thought it sounded very amazing! Haha for under $20, I could look up to 10 years younger in approximately 40 seconds! My mom and I really wanted to try out this product because...we want to look younger! And yes I wanted to look like a 9 year oldJ From our understanding, it is not permanent. Once it is washed off, it no longer continues it “magic”! It also supposedly diminishes lines and large pores etc. In the instructions, it said that it is to be applied AFTER liquid foundation application and BEFORE powders (setting powder, powder foundation etc.). What I like to do is apply my face primer and then my liquid foundation. After that I would apply my concealer on troubling spots and my eye circles. Once that is complete, I would rub the Nanoblur product between my fingers and PAT it onto my face avoiding my eyelids. After that, I don’t really need to set my foundation, but sometimes I like to lightly do so.

Did my appearance look 10 years younger? I’m not too sure. In my opinion, my lines are still there, but just a bit less noticeable. However, I did receive MANY compliments from my friends and even strangers! They tell me that my skin 1) improved, 2) look smoother or 3) looks very clear. I was very happyJ!
PROS
J I received many compliments!
J Easy to apply
J Relatively affordable
J Eliminates the need to powder my face after foundation
CONS
L It is easily over applied, be careful!
L Did not really diminish all of my lines, the ones on my forehead are still visible
OVERALL
I wouldn’t say this is a necessity, but it would be nice to have for a special evening or a photoshoot. I give this a 4/5J
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I’m thinking I would actually purchase another one if I ever run out!

Review: Diamond Lash Pure Series in #2 Beauty Eye

I was very excited about these lashes. They looked so cute on the model and they looked quite similar to the Dolly Wink lashes in No. 1 Dolly Sweet. The main difference is the fact that this set of five pairs is the equivalent cost to the two pairs of Dolly Wink lashesJ Similar to what I did with my Dolly Wink lashes, I had to cut off a bit of the length of the lashes to make it fit nicely on to my eyes. I know that a lot of the gyaru models like to keep the length to elongate their eyes to make them look larger, but when I tried doing that, it didn’t work the same way LOL. Maybe if I use eyelid tape to make my crease larger it might work better, but since I normally don’t, I will have to cut it to match!

PROS
J Gives a cute and sweet look to the eyes
J Great quality
CONS
L I had to self adjust these lashes and cut them to fit my eyes
OVERALL
These are great lashes for the gyaru/dolly look. They are a 4/5J.
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I would probably repurchase these when I run out and maybe try another style of lashes as well!

Review: NARS Danmari All About Cheeks Palette

When this palette came out, I did not intend on purchasing it. At the time, I thought about all the blushes I already own and said to myself that I would walk away from it. My friend, on the other hand, really wanted it and said it was definitely worth it. I mean, each blush is approximately $30 if one were to get them individually. The palette comes with six of them that contain about a quarter less than the usual full size for $70. It was definitely worth it for someone who had the INTENTION of buying blushes, but I didn’t at the time.
When I went shopping with my friend at Sephora, it was out of stock. It wasn’t a surprise because she was hunting for them and everywhere seemed to be sold out. But then......out of nowhere...a Sephora employee rolls out a cart and stops in from of the NARS counter we were standing in front of and places some red boxes into the empty palette section. Immediately my friend asks “Is this-“ and she replies “yes, it is” and my friend quickly takes one. I was so happy for her and she tells me I should get one too. I don’t remember exactly, but I remembered that my day was pretty bad up until that moment. I looked at the palette tester and swatched it more to see if this was worth the splurge. After thinking about it for 10-15 minutes, I decided to get itJ. Now that I think about it, I am very glad I purchased it!
Moving on to the actual product LOL.

-From left to right: Hungry Heart Duo (I), Orgasm, Desire

-From left to right: Casino, Super Orgasm, Sin
I really love it! As I mentioned before, it is definitely worth it. The packaging is very sleek and professional looking! The quality of the blushes is really great and I use every shade in the palette. Here is a little summary of the blush shades! Starting from the top row going left to right.
Hungry Heart Duo (I)- A beautiful highlight shade that is very shimmery. It is similar to the Too Faced Candlelight Highlighter.
Orgasm- A pretty and shimmery peachy pink shade
Desire- A bright pink shade that is very similar to the Japanese brand Candydoll’s cheek color in Strawberry Pink
Casino- a typical/neutral bronzer that would work well on any skintone
Super Orgasm- Similar to Orgasm, but with huge shimmers and is more pink
Sin- a pretty mauve color
PROS
J all blush shades are usable
J good value
J great packaging
CONS
L Some may think that the Orgasm and Super Orgasm shades are very similar and is unnecessary to have both in the palette
OVERALL
I love this palette! I’ve been using this every day! It is a 4.5/5J!
WOULD I REPURCHASE/PURCHASE FULL SIZE/PURCHASE MORE?
I don’t think it is necessary for me to repurchase or purchase more of this blush palette.
